CHURCH YOUTH CENTER IN CAMIGNONE
The proposed project for the church youth center of Camignone Passirano involves the reconstruction and the partial re-creation of the existing buildings.
The renewal starts from the transformation of the theater, throught the opening of the skylights on the roof and also by the wooden paneling. The last part of the audience hall is removed, to resize the room according to the current needs: a large glazed foyer is placed to create the entrance, where the ticket office, a small office and the cabin for the projections can be found.
The entrance to the theater and to the public areas are protected by a shelter, which connects the interior and the exterior.
The new building is organized around a central courtyard which is overlooked by the interior spaces. The new building takes shape from a play of volumes and pitches, and it will be constructed by bricks, traditional and domestic materials treated in a contemporary way.
The outdoor areas are redrawn to have an increased flexibility of use, which are characterized by different levels and by the red cementa s well. The connection between the church of San Zeno and the oratory is through a walkway, an architectural and green promenade that produces some focal points.
